Ellie DeWitt

Research Assistant

Caroline “Ellie” DeWitt is a first-year doctoral student in Education Policy at Penn GSE and is a research assistant at Penn Child Research Center. Before coming to Penn to pursue her doctorate, Ellie graduated from Gettysburg College with a double major in Psychology and Public Policy and a minor in Educational Studies. While at Gettysburg, Ellie served two years as a Student Representative on the Pennsylvania State Board of Education on the Council of Higher Education. Her main research interests are related to improving the educational outcomes of vulnerable populations, particularly in early childhood, special education, and the incorporation of psychology and human development in education policies.
