Ama Nyame-Mensah

Lecturer and Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Ama Nyame-Mensah is a lecturer and postdoctoral fellow within the Master of Science in Social Policy program at the University of Pennsylvania. Her current work examines the role culture, context, and experiential activities play in shaping development and learning across the life course, with a focus on how these phenomena affect underserved children and adults. Having served in a variety of research and policy positions, Ama has considerable experience designing research projects, evaluating programs, and implementing strategies for improving organizational data use. Ama holds a Ph.D. in Social Welfare from the School of Social Policy and Practice at the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in Urban Affairs and Public Policy from the University of Delaware.
